"A college education is very important to me. With ScholarGuard, I can compete without worrying about how to finance a college education if something were to happen, allowing me to better focus on reaching my goal of playing competitive D1 college basketball.“

“While playing competitive basketball since third grade, I have had a variety of injuries including ankle sprains, concussions, and a dislocated thumb. I have also watched some of my fellow teammates deal with season ending injuries. This year, I had the opportunity to compete for the Wasatch Prep Academy in Utah for my senior year of high school. Wasatch Prep Academy is part of the National Nike EYBL Scholastic basketball league. At this level of basketball, I am going up against some of the best high school basketball players in the nation. My family and I realize the importance of having a financial back-up plan for college in this competitive, high contact environment. Since a college education is very important to me, we made the choice to protect my athletic educational future by working with ScholarGuard. With ScholarGuard, I can compete without worrying about how to finance a college education if something were to happen, allowing me to better focus on reaching my goal of playing competitive D1 college basketball.“

"The fact that it covers all aspects of their life is a huge benefit. With the amount of traveling we do for rodeo, it eases my mind knowing I have insurance for my boys that will cover their schooling, in the case that something happens to one of them." (Tara Gage)

"One week before our first practice I injured my knee, and it turned out to be a lot worse than I first thought. My career was cut short... and because of this injury I had lost my spot on the team and some of my academic scholarship."

"I knew nothing but sports my entire life. Played all year-round doing basketball and baseball from as young as I can remember. Then tragedy hit my freshman year of college. I was lucky enough to be recruited by California Lutheran University to play basketball. I had always had knee pain growing up and playing sports, and it eventually caught up to me. One week before our first practice I injured my knee, and it turned out to be a lot worse than I first thought. I ended up having OCD of my femur (Osteochondritis Dissecans), less than 2% of all OCD cases happen in the knee. My career was cut short by a non-contact injury which I never thought to happen, and because of this injury I had lost my spot on the team and some of my academic scholarship. When I heard about ScholarGuard I had to be apart of it all. I believe that ScholarGuard is going to help countless kids across America, and I could have been one of those kids to benefit from ScholarGuard. I thought I was invincible as a kid, but anything can happen to anyone as I quickly found out.”

"Fortunately, ScholarGuard has given Coaches like myself the ability to avoid that conversation by providing an avenue to pursue academic dreams when athletic dreams are no longer viable.”

“As a Coach I have had the privilege of being a small part of helping several student-athletes achieve their collegiate athletic dreams.  However, I have also been a part of letting an athlete know that their playing days are over because of a debilitating injury or accident.  I can’t think of a more difficult conversation to have with a child who has given everything in hopes of someday being a college recruit.  Fortunately, ScholarGuard has given Coaches like myself the ability to avoid that conversation by providing an avenue to pursue academic dreams when athletic dreams are no longer viable.”

"Having been able to be a part of ScholarGuard, I can see the difference it can make in kids lives. I wish it was something that was around when I was in college, as most student athletes constantly fear of what injury could take their college career and education away."

"I am a born and raised Montanan, having grown up on a ranch in Helena. I have been rodeoing my whole life, competing for Montana States team and now professionally. Having been able to be a part of  ScholarGuard, I can see the difference it can make in kids lives. I wish it was something that was around when I was in college, as most student athletes constantly fear of what injury could take their college career and education away. Living the western way of life has its innate risks and I’m proud to be a part of a company that provides a safety net to kids from all backgrounds to make sure they get their college education."

"The risk of injury was around every corner. As an athlete relying on my football scholarship to get me through college, if I was to get injured, my football scholarship would have been taken away. I would not have to been able to complete college, because I wouldn’t have been able to afford it."

"When I was presented with the opportunity to be a part of SIMS/ScholarGuard™, I jumped at the opportunity. I grew up in a small agricultural community in Montana, where my friends and I were around all sorts of large farming equipment daily. The risk of injury was around every corner. As an athlete who was relying on my football scholarship to get me through college, if I was to get injured while in college, my football scholarship would have been taken away. I would not have to been able to complete college, because I wouldn’t have been able to afford it. When introduced to SIMS/ScholarGuard™, I felt that it was a long overdue product that could protect the youth of Montana and beyond.  Montana youth are active in so many ways - they operate UTV/ATVs, ag equipment, ride horses and work cattle, ski and snowmobile, and so much more. I believe there is so much value in SIMS/ScholarGuard™, because it is an affordable product to serve youth. If a child, God forbid, may sustain a life changing injury, ScholarGuard™ would allow them to attend college without the financial burden. I think it is so valuable that we made this product affordable so that every child/family can afford it. It excites me that parents can lock their child in at a low premium at an early age, and that premium is what they will pay until their child is 22.  I am fortunate that football gave me the opportunity to ranch, and to do what I love by living, working, and raising my family in Montana. I am grateful that I am a part of this company, because I believe it offers Montanans the opportunity to protect their children and lift the stress of them losing their scholarship due to injury."

"I needed financial help. I was blessed to become a national caliber track and cross country athlete in high school. My full athletic scholarship allowed me to complete my undergraduate pre-med studies without debt."

"I have been amazingly fortunate but recognize that a disabling injury would have changed my life dramatically for the worse. I am the fourth of four children born within a 40 month period. If I was to go to college, I needed financial help. I was blessed to become a national caliber track and cross country athlete in high school. My full athletic scholarship allowed me to complete my undergraduate pre-med studies without debt, providing the opportunity and confidence to take on debt for medical school. I have enjoyed a wonderful career as a physician, healthcare executive, chief information officer for a health system, and a public health officer, in large part due to being able to attend college on an athletic scholarship. A disabling injury would have derailed my career. ScholarGuard, had it been available, would have alleviated worry and secured my future. How fortunate that ScholarGuard and the security it provides now exists."
